Analytics, only if you agree

We’d like to understand who visits taulu.net — which pages people look at, roughly where they’re visiting from, what device and browser they use, and, through a Google feature called Google Signals, aggregated demographics like age range, gender, and interests. We use Google Analytics for this.

None of it runs until you choose. When you first visit, a banner asks. If you decline, nothing from Google loads and no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, Google Analytics loads and sets cookies to measure visits and — through Google Signals — report those aggregated demographics.

Where that data goes

Google processes this analytics data for us, on Google’s servers, which may be in the United States. We use it to understand our audience in aggregate and plan how and where to launch — never to personally identify you, and we don’t sell your personal information. Because those demographics rely on Google’s advertising cookies, accepting also lets Google use the data it collects here for its own advertising and personalization, under its own privacy policy. Google retains it for up to 14 months. Google’s own handling is described in its privacy policy.

Your choices

You can decline at the banner, and analytics never starts. To change your mind later, use the Cookie settings link at the foot of any page — it re-opens this choice so you can switch to decline. You can also email us at hello@taulu.net to ask what we hold about you, or to delete it.

What we don’t collect

No accounts, no profiles, and no names or email addresses through this site. Our fonts are served from taulu.net itself, so your browser doesn’t reach out to a third party to load them.
